CAFOD – Non uniform Day October 2023
Thank you to our Faith Friends, who organised a non-uniform day on Friday 13th October 2023 to raise money for CAFOD; the Catholic Agency for Overseas Development, a charity working with communities around the world. Many thanks to everyone who donated to support our global family. We raised £246.90. Well done everybody!
Advent Carol Service at Westminster Cathedral 2023
On Wednesday 29th November, our Faith Friends represented our school at the annual Advent Carol Service in Westminster Cathedral. This service was attended by schools from all over the diocese and raised money for the Catholic Children’s Society. We all particularly enjoyed meeting the Bishop and the animals from Hackney City Farm.
Christmas Carol Singing December 2023
London Air Ambulance
In the heart-warming spirit of the season, our Year 6 choir recently brought joy and festive cheer to the halls of our local hospital – The Royal London. We raised a substantial amount of money for the London Air Ambulance – a truly worthy cause! Their angelic voices echoed through the halls, spreading the festive spirit, warmth and hope to patients and healthcare workers alike.
Providence Row Carol Singing
The Year 6 children went carol singing in Spitalfields on 5.12.23. Their mission goes beyond the joy of the season; these compassionate children are on a mission to raise spirits and support the less fortunate. Their beautiful carol singing brought warmth and hope to the public who were moved by their voices and donated a huge £346.73 to help tackle homelessness in the local area.
Lady Mico’s / Mercer’s Cottages
Children from Year 6 helped to spread holiday cheer by singing Christmas carols at St Mico’s in December. This festive event was a delightful occasion filled with the spirit of giving and togetherness.

St Mary & St Michael School council nominated the London Air Ambulance as a charity we would like to help this year. Our school took part in the Create-a-Copter challenge to raise vital funds and help keep the service flying to save lives and help people when they need it the most.
In our assembly on Friday 10th February, we were very proud to present the London Air Ambulance fundraising officers with a cheque for £2,435.33! Thank you to everybody who participated and for your support.
